Back in the year 2003, an independent automotive repair business called High Road Automotive was looking to replace it's creaky DOS-era shop management software with a modern, Windows-based, system. Unsatisfied with anything available on the market, the owners of High Road decided to forge a new path and commissioned the creation of a brand new system built to their demanding specifications. On January 2nd 2005, the first production of Technique was launched internally at High Road. Over the intervening years, the program has been improved and another developer was hired to assist with the work.

In late 2010, during the course of planning for Version 2 of Technique, the team determined that it would need to build a new tool in order to to develop Technique as effeciently as possible. The tool, named WCF Architect, was created because we were simply unable to find anything like it in the marketplace, and with it came the desire to share this tool with others, and thus Prospective Software was born.

Prospective software is a small software development company started in 2010 with the goal of building amazing software that people actually enjoy using. Our mission is to make software that doesn't just work, but works seamlessly, intuitively, and beautifully.
